Low on Budget? Try This Resort for Weekend Getaway near Mumbai.

It was April and I was already in vacation mood. However, the summer heat discouraged me to make any long distance travel plans. That’s how I ended up making a budgeted-weekend plan for Silver Oak Resort at Uran. Short and simple ride (26 km from Navi Mumbai) on my scooty and I was more than happy to see a lush green spacious resort with swimming pool, away from hush bush of the city. Uran is part of Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, district Raigad and is surrounded by sea on three sides. It is 48 km away from Mumbai and 26 km away from Navi Mumbai.

Silver Oak resort is fine staying option in Uran, which has spacious clean basic rooms (double bed, AC, TV and bathroom) and rates much more cheap than you can imagine. Rooms are available for family and groups according to the request. Swimming pool was not cleaned when I reached, but was cleaned and refilled with fresh water on the next day on request. Best part of this resort is their fresh home-cooked sea food. I had 4 meals in this resort and it definitely satisfied the foodie inside me with all different sea food options available.

Listening to the sound of waves as they hit the shore, watching the summer sun set in the horizon, coming back to resort and having a full-filling sea food- this vacation was my most relaxed vacation in ages.
